A well-equipped training center with the latest equipment and authentic simulation of workflow situations is essential for learning success at seminars and training classes. windhunter academy uses hydraulic torque wrenches, hydraulic pumps, and electric torque multipliers of alkitronic® to train their students to use those tools on wind towers and other related equipment.
The windhunter group is one of the leading suppliers in wind measurement. It provides comprehensive solutions ranging from site selection and tower installation to legal and administrative handling, up to production, construction, and measurement systems distribution. Windhunter group acts as the holding company for windhunter serwis, windhunter GmbH, windhunter academy, windhunter prognoza, windhunter global export and windhunter Africa.
The windhunter academy was established in 2011 as an exclusive training center for the wind energy industry. High-level training courses and study of work safety in and on wind turbines are available.
At the windhunter group's training camp, all activities are focused on safe working practices within wind turbines. As a certified training partner of the Global Wind Organization (GWO), the academy offers, among other training, the complete "Basic Safety Training" (BST) according to the GWO rules: first aid, manual handling, fire awareness, working at heights and sea survival. It is important to simulate situations most authentically when working in the environment of the wind industry.
"As we started to lay the foundation for our Basic Maintenance Training (BMT) with a vocational course for technicians and service engineers of wind power plants, we met Mr. Cichosz, the Polish trading partner of alkitronic," states Roman Synowski, Managing Director of the windhunter group. Convinced by the quality "Made in Germany," which marks alkitronic products, windhunter academy since then has used products like the hydraulic pump Nova, the electric torque multiplier EF 250 Plus, EFCip 60, both with torque/angle function, the manual torque multiplier HG or the hydraulic torque wrenches AS3 and AX4 in their training.
The alkitronic tools impress with their low weight and their performance, and the robust and ergonomic design. Especially for applications with restricted access or, e.g. on ladders, this is of great importance. "The uncomplicated and professional service, as well as the geographic proximity of the representative to our academy sites in Koszalin (Poland) and Bernau (Germany), allows us always to use the latest technology and to supply market trends to our training participants immediately. This greatly contributes to the quality of our training," observes Ewelina Frank, Managing Director of the windhunter academy.
The excellent cooperation with alki TECHNIK, a reliable partner with the highest quality standards, will ensure that this will continue. The training center will also receive innovative tools in the future.
